Amy Adams & Rachel McAdams Themes
The Basics
• Name: Dessiree
• Are you over thirteen? Yes, 22 in 4 days!
• How would you describe yourself? (includes strengths and flaws):
Strengths: compassionate, intuitive, open minded, creative, loving, caring, open, honest, trusting
Weakness: controlling, overly emotional, needy, lazy, perfectionist, messy, chaotic, sensitive
• What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about my beliefs. I am a Christian, but I consider myself some what of a 'modern' Christian. I see things differently than the majority of my religion. I believe the most important and biggest message of the Bible to be acceptance and compassion. I think that instead of focusing on the things God doesn't want us doing we should focus on what he does ask of us. We should not be judging people and we should not try to make them feel guilty for any decision they've made in their life. God loves everyone, even if you don't. I don't chose to live my life the way some people do, but I don't condemn them for their choices either. I belief that when someone passes away and they meet God he'll decide if they lived their life accordingly. The human race tends to try to place everyone in categories and boxes and instead of loving and accepting we hate and punish. No one will ever convince me that I won't be entering Heaven when I die because I support a persons right to make their own decisions about their life. God gave us all minds and the ability to decide for a reason!
• Pet Peeves?
ignorance, narrow-mindedness, bad drivers (including using your phone when driving!), smacking your food/chewing gum, hate, lack of common sense, rudeness, and being judgmental
• What are you not so good at?
Forgiveness. I used to always say I was good at forgiving people, I just never forget what they did. As I'm getting older and I'm looking back on the things that people have done I see that I actually have a hard time overcoming the bad things. I tend to dwell on the negative side instead of embrace the positive in my relationships with people. For example, my mother and I have a very broken relationship. As a child it was common knowledge that my little brother was her favorite child and she couldn't stand me. She was never physically abusive, but I've been emotionally abused by my mother my entire life. As I got older, and my mom realized I was actually the "good kid" our relationship changed. I had always wanted to have a connection with her, so when I felt one opening up I jumped in. I would think we had a close relationship, but in reality nothing ever changed with her. She has always treated me horribly and always would if I allowed her too. I don't forgive her for the way she raised me and has treated me, and in all honesty, I can't say I ever will. I don't want to let it effect my daily life, and I don't, but it's still caused so much pain and damage to me that I don't think I will ever be able to say I can forgive her. She birthed me; I didn't ask to be alive. She was supposed to be the mother, but she never was.
• Do you have any talents?
I am a pretty creative person. I like to do all types of arts and crafts. I love scrap booking and I just recently started card making. My biggest talent though, is my vocal abilities. I'm a shy person when it comes to my singing, but I still love to do it. I usually won't do it in front of people, especially strangers, but if you get me in a car you'll at some point hear me singing. ;]
• How do you view love?
I don't believe in soul mates and I don't believe there's something called "true love". That may sound like I'm a bit cold to love, but it's quite the contrary. I'm madly in love with my husband and I hope to be forever. I think love is work and there's good and bad that comes along with loving a person. You have to love them for every single thing they are, not just the good. It takes a lot of really hard work to make a relationship work and I think if you are lucky enough to find someone that makes the work a little less hard you can consider yourself one of the lucky ones!
• Are you more trusting or more cynical of others?
I tend to be more trusting. I value honesty very much, so I usually give out my trust immediately, but once it's broken I almost never give it back.
• How do you view friendship?
I think it's important to have friends, but I think it's more important to have family. Friends will come and go but your family should always be there.

This or That
• Determined or laid back: laid back, although I do tend to get an idea and try really hard for a short amount of time before I give up.
• Impulsive or Cautious: very impulsive
• Optimistic or Pessimistic: more optimistic, but I have my pessimistic days a lot
• Mature or not so mature: mature, and I've been mature since I was pretty young
Confident or Shy: shy, but I'm confident in who I am
Brave or Coward? brave? I wouldn't call myself a coward, but I don't think that necessarily makes me brave.
Night or Day? night!
Home or Adventure? home
What is your style in fashion? comfortable, I wear jeans or sweats an awful lot.
Are you more girly or a tomboy? girly, I love makeup, but I go natural most days
Introverted or Extroverted: extroverted
Lover or Fighter: lover with a kick
What are your dreams for the future? To have children. That may seem petty to some people but it's been my strongest desire from a very young age to have children and be a good mother. :]
What do you look for in a mate? honesty, understanding, loving, funny but can be serious when needed, nurturing, all the things a women craves from someone
If you could change one thing about you, what would it be? I would have better control over my emotions. I 100% of the time let my emotions get the best of me. Whatever I'm feeling at any given moment is probably what you'll see. If I'm pissy, happy, depressed, excited, lonely, angry, I usually always project it outwards. If the emotion is negative it usually causes a wedge between my husband and I for the day, and I wish I could stop that from happening. It's very hard for me to keep my emotions in my body and mind.
A quote/lyric/song/saying that's important to you?
"The world of first dates and mixed tapes, family dramas and new friends. The world of sex, drugs, and the Rocky Horror Picture Show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite." - The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The part that really resonates with me is the last line. I feel there's so much truth in the statement "all one requires is that perfect song, on that perfect drive, to feel infinite."

• Do you admire this actress or are you not fond of her?
AA: I love her. I think she's funny, beautiful, and she's very diverse in her acting abilities.
RM: She is one of my favorite actresses! :]
• What's your favorite couple she's been a part of (can be canon or fanon)? Why?
AA: Anna & Declan in Leap Year. I always like a good challenging love story, and I think the differences between the two characters is what makes the relationship fun and exciting.
RM: Well of course I can't pick anything other than Allie & Noah! I don't even have a specific reason. The whole thing, even with the disfunction, makes it beautiful!
• Which of her characters could you imagine being best friends with?
AA: Ashley - Junebug
RM: Colee - The Lucky Ones
• Which leading man of hers could you imagine being romantically involved with? Why?
AA: I guess I'd have to go with Patrick Dempsey, mostly because there aren't many leading men I've been attracted to in her films. I think he is attractive, but he's just a bit to old for my liking (older than my parents).
RM: Ryan Gosling! He is super hot, especially when he's all rough and fuzzy looking in The Notebook!! :D

Optional
